I've been blogging since 2007, when I was a stay-at-home-mom looking for connection with other young moms. If you want the whole story, you can find my very first post here.
I love being home. People who say 'go big or go home' seriously underestimate my willingness to go home. Like, it's literally my only goal for most of the day.
I'm not an organized person in the conventional sense. I've always liked to think of myself as such, but in reality I haven't been organized since my second child was born in 1993. That's too long of a stretch to say that my disorganization is just a phase. However, I am good at making plans and generally sticking to them, in a round about sort of way.
At one time I was sure I wanted to be a nurse, but two years of nursing school proved me wrong. Instead, I got a degree in history and learned how much I love to write. A career followed, and then I chose to stay home to raise our three children, which was the best decision of my life. I still like to write.
I love the beach and collecting shells. I was born in New Jersey, and even though I lived there a short time, they were formative years and I feel like a Jersey girl at heart. One of my favorite books is The Shell Seekers by Rosamunde Pilcher. The title is part of my email address.
